Unusual Uses of LED Lighting

LED lighting is a very flexible and versatile form of lighting and, over the years it has been used in different ways and people try to outdo each other in the most extravant ways that they use it.

One unusual way that LED lighting (traditional uses include in schools and outdoors) has been used is in clothing and a common way is the LED t-shirt. Quite a few different ways in which it has been used is to have a graphic equaliser which moves in time to music. This is most commonly used in nightclubs in which the LED t-shirt comes into its own! People also come up with their own LED lighting t-shirts and, as the bulbs are so small, they can be used to create shapes and pretty much anything you like.

LED lighting has also been used with other forms of clothing. One other strange form of LED lighting clothing use is in a bikini. I’m not quite sure why anyone would want to buy this lit up piece of underwear but its one way to get attention that’s for sure! It might make falling asleep quite difficult too!

Pens are another unusual use of LED lighting. They are used to make the pen look more striking and have also been used to create attractive shapes within certain parts of the pen. It’s hard to make a pen different to the many that currently exist on the market but using LED lighting within it is one way to do so! They have also been used to turn the top half of the pen into a torch.

LED lighting has also been used within night clubs to create an amazing atmosphere. They can be used in so many different ways within night clubs and, like when used with t-shirts, they have been used as a giant graphic equaliser that moves in time to the music. This use of LED lighting is usually on the wall and can really dominate that part of the room if thats how the designer wishes.

One of the craziest ways that LED lighting has been used has been within head phones. That’s right, head phones! I don’t expect these to provide a functional use but make the wearer look different from other head phone wearers! It’s certainly a use for those who want to get attention for themselves whilst listening to their music.

There is also a basketball available which uses LED lighting to change colour! More of a fun use but it could also be used in places where light is a bit poor to make sure that everyone can see the ball!
